Rocco studied and graduated Hotel & Tourism Management in Australia after which, in 2004 he returned to China and joined the Hyatt Hotel Group and then later Melco China Resorts as Commercial Operations Manager. At Melco, Rocco was heavily involved in the creation and implementation of strategy and operations at Yabuli & Beidahu Resorts. In 2013, Rocco joined Vanke Songhua Lake and was responsible for the development, implemention and management of what has lead the project to be one of the most influential resorts in China. Until recently, Rocco has served collectively as Vice General Manager of Songhua Lake & General Manager of Beidahu Ski Resorts.

2000-2003年在澳大利亚悉尼攻读酒店和旅游管理，2004年回国后在北京东方君悦大酒店任职、之后加入新濠中国度假区任商业运营经理。加入新濠中国之后，参与了亚布力和北大壶度假区筹建和运营等工作。2013年加入万科，负责开发、筹建、运营万科松花湖（滑雪）度假区。在开业两年内引领万科松花湖度假区成为中国最具影响力滑雪及山地度假区。此后，陈鹏身兼万科冰雪事业部执行合伙人、松花湖副总经理、北大壶滑雪场总经理及万山雪业副总经理等职。
