In 2014, global leading restaurant group, Gondola Group took it’s first steps internationally with company owned and operated stores. With over 500 Pizza Express restaurants around the world, including over 30 franchised locations – Pizza Express engaged Axis to assist in the launch of the iconic brand name in Beijing. Axis’s scope included entire local coordination, from site selection, business registration, recruitment, training, product sourcing and testing, marketing, public relations, construction supervision and overall management support. With the first flagship restaurant open in May, 2014 – Pizza Express caught the attention of China’s Hony Capital which led to the sale of the entire global brand for USD$1.5billion in July, 2014.
