JOHN JEAKINS 庄志坚

John Jeakins is an international hospitality executive with over 35-years experience in all aspects of hotel and resort operations, planning, construction, technical assistance, education and corporate oversight.  His working experience covers Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. 

庄志坚从事酒店及度假村运营,规划,建设,技术支持,教育以及企业监管方面35余年。业务遍及加拿大,美国,欧洲及亚洲。

John is a graduate of the Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has spent his entire career in the hospitality industry.

庄志坚毕业于加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚理工大学酒店及餐厅管理专业,并将其职业生涯全部投入到这个行业。

From 1979 to 1988, he held several management positions with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Canada and the United States, and was a member of several integration teams for Four Seasons hotel management takeovers. In 1989, he joined New World hotels in Vancouver and was the first person in the group to be transferred to Asia, to assist in the opening of the 52-storey New World Jing Guang Center in Beijing.

Between 1991 and 2002, he held several management positions with Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, including General Manager of Swissôtel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center and Area General Manager, China for Raffles International Hotels & Resorts.  Group Corporate positions include Director of Operations Support (Zurich), Director of Corporate Services (New York) and Vice President Asia overseeing hotel operations, development, owners’ relations and sales through offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

He also established a profitable joint venture hotel management company on behalf of Swissôtel in China in 1996, undertaking projects in residential, fitness club and hotel management, technical assistance, procurement and hotel pre-openings in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and Urumqui. 

1996年,庄志坚代表瑞士酒店集团在华创建了一家盈利性合资酒店管理公司,负责北京、上海、大连及乌鲁木齐的住宅,健身俱乐部以及酒店管理,技术支持,并购以及开业筹备工作。

Recognizing the need to address the shortage of qualified local hotel managers in China, between 2003 and 2005, John established an international hospitality school as Chief Executive Officer of Les Roches Jin Jiang Hotel Management College – the first of its kind in China.

庄志坚意识到中国本土缺乏合格的本地酒店管理者,在2003-2005年期间,他创办了中国首家国际酒店管理学校 - 理诺士锦江酒店管理学院,并担任CEO一职。

Together with three partners, in 2006 he was one of the founding members of Melco China Resorts, a publicly listed company on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and the largest ski resort developer and operator in China.  Overseeing resort operations and sales and marketing, the group completed three 5-star hotels, one of which is a member of “Small Luxury Hotels of the World”.

2006年,庄志坚作为创立者之一,同其他三位合作伙伴一道创立了新濠中国 - 多伦多证券交易所上市企业,中国最大的滑雪度假村开发及运营商。集团对度假村运营、销售及市场方面进行监理,建成3座五星级酒店,其中一家成为“全球奢华精品酒店”之一。

In 2009, John established Hospitality Associates Asia Ltd., aimed at assisting developers in the region to fulfill their expectations in planning, developing and operating world-class hospitality projects in China and beyond.  In 2017, John joined ‘Miracle Fund Management Company’ as Deputy Chairman – the company’s focus is on hospitality investment, tourism development, Government and investor relations and hotel and sports facility management.

庄志坚于2009年成立豪泰博亚管理咨询有限公司,旨在协助地区开发商实现其在规划、开发以及运营方面的愿景,打造中国内地的世界级酒店项目。2017年,庄志坚加入了”文投华宇(北京)基金管理有限公司“,担任副董事长一职 - 公司业务涵盖休闲度假产业投资,旅游项目开发,政府及投资者关系以及酒店及体育设施管理等。
