Prior to founding Axis Leisure Management Ltd, Justin served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Melco China Resorts (TSX.V), a leading resort developer and entertainment company operating in Asia. Responsible for the planning, development and operation of 5 major resorts in China’s North East, including Yabuli, China’s first fully 5 Star alpine resort. Through Axis Leisure Management, Justin served as Chief Operating Officer for Genting Secret Garden Resort, Hebei Province, overseeing business and master planning for the what will be China’s largest integrated four season resort.
Justin has held a number of Senior Leadership roles over 20 years and on 3 continents including some of the world’s leading four season resorts.
Prior to Melco, Justin held the role of Chief Executive Officer for Hotham Skiing Company, one of Australia’s leading tourism assets. This project included the evaluation and implementation of a significant Master Planning and residential development initiative as well as a complete rebranding process and oversight of the $90 million annual turnover.
In 2000, Justin served as the opening General Manager and developer of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Canada’s Rocky Mountains. As the leader of this project, Justin oversaw all aspects of the development and operations that lead to it becoming one of North America’s leading resort properties.
Throughout the 90’s, Justin held a number of Executive roles with Intrawest ULC, North America’s leading four season resort developer & Top Table Restaurant Group – British Columbia’s foremost collection of 5 star dining establishments and entertainment venues.
Justin specializes in all areas of commercial operations including Food & Beverage, Retail, Golf, Ski and Venue Management, Human Resources, Business Planning, Project Execution and Product Delivery.
VP Resort Operations
Rocco studied and graduated Hotel & Tourism Management in Australia after which, in 2004 he returned to China and joined the Hyatt Hotel Group and then later Melco China Resorts as Commercial Operations Manager. At Melco, Rocco was heavily involved in the creation and implementation of strategy and operations at Yabuli & Beidahu Resorts. In 2013, Rocco joined Vanke Songhua Lake and was responsible for the development, implemention and management of what has lead the project to be one of the most influential resorts in China. Until recently, Rocco has served collectively as Vice General Manager of Songhua Lake & General Manager of Beidahu Ski Resorts.
JIADI LIU (VIVIAN)
Vivian is a graduate of Michigan State University with a major in Golf Course Turf Grass Management and Landscape.
Prior to returning to China in 2012, Vivian was retained at one of the US’s most acclaimed Golf Clubs– Desert Mountain in Scottsdale Arizona. Her role included supporting the Superintendent in course maintenance and operation and through this role she became largely familiar with the daily operation in all aspects of this prestigious Golf Course and Club.
Vivian joined Reignwood Group in 2012 as Assistant to General Manager for the development of a Jack Nicklaus & Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed 36-hole golf resort in Dali, Yunnan Province. Her role involved overall project coordination including assistance with design, bidding, and all aspects of the pre-opening of the Club and Resort.
Working with Axis since 2013, Vivian’s role has centered on being responsible for the communication and coordination of high profile contracts and deliverables between some of China’s most powerful State Owned and Private Developers, Provincial, National & International Governments, and Global leading brands and service providers.
Chelsea Wong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, holding a bachelor degree with first class honour in Hotel and Tourism Management. During her study, she had internship experience in Walt Disney World, Florida and InterContinental Grand Stanford, Hong Kong. After graduation, Chelsea joined Swire Hotels as their management trainee. After a two-year rotation around various departments and properties within China and Hong Kong including the Upper House in Hong Kong and the Opposite House in Beijing, she specialized in the food and beverage department. She had helped the pre-opening team of East Beijing and had worked in different restaurant outlets within Swire Hotels.
Chelsea worked as the Operations Manager for the Opposite House, Beijing before joining Horwath HTL in 2014. Since she joined Horwath HTL, she worked at the Beijing office specializing in hotel and resort feasibility study and market research projects, tourism development master planning as well as hotel and restaurant performance reviews, both locally and internationally.
Director - Business Strategy
She lives and breathes in sports. After retiring from college basketball in HK, she earned Sports Management master degree and gained marketing insight with professional team including USA Water Polo and LA Clippers in Southern California. From 2011 she has begun pursuing her dream of becoming Sports Business Guru and inspiring young generations in China till today.
She’s been acting as brand whisper for global premium Sports Properties such as French Open, WTA, FIBA, Ironman, Brooklyn Nets, Arsenal FC with global top sports agency IMG and Infront sports to build deep partnership with media rights holders as well as corporate sponsors. Her unique strategic development skills reward her solid client relationship in the industry with million-dollar deals and extraordinary ROIs.
Executive Director - CommercialFlora Geng returned to China after completing a Property Economics degree in Australia. In 2000, she joined Savills, one of the world largest property consultant companies. She established the retail department of the Beijing office, and together worked with her team on a series of major projects, including the Beijing Oriental Plaza, Beijing Yintai Center, Beijing The Gate Mall, Beijing Wangjing Mall, Beijing Wangjing International Commercial Center, Large Wangjing City Planning, Luneng Elite City, Sanlitun Village, Beijing Regentland and Zhongyou Department Store. At the same time, Flora built a strong and close relationship with a variety of international and local retailers, including LVMH, Chanel, IT, Lane Crawford, Richmond, Apple and H&M.
After Savills, Flora joined Soho China as General Manager of Soho China Property Management Company, becoming one of the youngest managers on the senior management team. With over 300 staff, Flora and her team managed the positioning, planning, leasing, property management, operation, and promotion of all integrated projects of the group, approximately 1,500,000 sq.m. of space. With years of management experience, Flora has accumulated abundant expertise in project development and management of mid-to-large scale properties and has gained unique insights in project positioning and development.
Caley completed his Finance degree at the School of Business from the University of Alberta in 2004. In 2001, he received a scholarship to study at the prestigious Harbin Institute of Technology and in 2004, received another full scholarship funded by the Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program, to attend one of China's top Universities, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
After returning from Shanghai to Canada, as the youngest member on the team, he worked closely with the CEO and the Executive Vice Presidents of Melco China Resorts to develop financial models, investor presentations and annual business plans.
After completing the University of British Columbia's Award of Achievement in Web Analytics, he has lead the development and marketing strategy of many web assets, catapulting start ups in established and highly competitive fields.
Prior to joining Axis Leisure, Caley focused on the execution of marketing and financial strategy at Yogalife Studios, a leading health and wellness organization in Western Canada.
